2. Approval of Agenda

4. Approval of July 10, 2024 Minutes
MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. McKenzie, to approve the
Minutes of July 10, 2024. Motion passed 5-0.
5A. Request for Stop Sign at Hamburg & Pennock Avenue
Mr. Acosta said there is not currently a stop at the intersection with Pennock
Avenue, which is a minor collector. Stop signs are typically installed at
intersections of local roads with collector roadways. Such signage is
consistent with other intersections in that neighborhood.
MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. McKenzie, to recommend
installation of the stop sign. Motion passed 5-0.
5B. Request for`Blind Driveway" Sign at 15029 Dundee Avenue
Mr. Acosta said the house is very close in proximity to the intersection of
Dundee Avenue with County Road 42. There is no sign type in the Manual on
Uniform Traffic Devices warranted by the conditions at this location. There is
no Blind Driveway signage in the manual. The conditions do not meet the
criteria of a Hidden Entrance. The Committee noted that the median extension
from County Road 42 likely makes backing out of the driveway difficult.
MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. McKenzie, to recommend
denying the request for the sign as it does not conform with the Manual on
Uniform Traffic Devices, but to work with the County to address the issues
with the median. Motion passed 5-0.
5C. Driver Feedback Results
Mr. Acosta provided data from several locations with the driver feedback
signs. Fernando Avenue had 851h percentile speeds of 26.35 and 24.05 miles
per hour, below the 30 mile per hour limit. Havelock Trail had 851h percentile
speeds of 22.39 and 22.36 miles per hour, below the 30 miles per hour limit.
Flagstaff Avenue had 851h percentile speeds of 40.87 and 41.87 miles per
hour, above the 40 mile per hour limit. Pennock Avenue had 851h percentile
speeds of 33.17 and 36 miles per hour, above the 30 mile per hour limit.
