Minutes
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Zimmerman.
Members Present: Dave McKenzie, Matt Saam, Joe Shaw, Arthur
Zimmerman
Members Absent: Greg Dahlstrom, Linda Dolan, Charles Grawe
Consultants/Alternates Present: Evan Acosta, Brandon Anderson
Others Present: Amanda Bosley, Adrianne Rysavy, Erica Taylor
2. Approval of Agenda
MOTION: Mr. McKenzie moved, second by Mr. Shaw, to approve the
agenda as presented. Motion passed 4-0.
3. Audience Items
Several residents were present to express concern about vehicle speeds on
Embry south of County Road 42. The surrounding neighborhood has many
young children and vehicle volume is relatively high. The residents are
looking at proactive ways to work with the City. Concerns were expressed
that a previous speed study was done during the COVID pandemic and does
not accurately portray current traffic conditions. Mr. Anderson said the driver
feedback signs can be deployed along Embry and the Police Department can
be alerted that there are concerns in the neighborhood.
4. Approval of March 12, 2025 Minutes
MOTION: Mr. McKenzie moved, second by Mr. Shaw, to approve the
Minutes of March 12, 2025. Motion passed 4-0.
5A. 2025 Bike and Pedestrian Plan Update
Mr. Acosta provided an update on the statue of the Bike and Pedestrian Plan
Update. There has been significant public engagement.
6A.Other Traffic Concerns Communicated to the City of Apple Valley
Police Concerns
There were no additional Police concerns.
Public Works Concerns
There were no additional Public Works concerns.
6B.Educational Issues
There were no educational issues.
7. Adjourn
MOTION: Mr. McKenzie moved, second by Mr. Shaw, to adjourn. Motion
passed 4-0. Meeting was adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
