Minutes of the special meeting of the City Council of Apple Valley, Dakota County,
Minnesota, held November 3, 1982, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the City Hall.
PRESENT: Mayor Garrison; Councilmembers Branning, Kelly, Overgard, and Savanick;
Clerk Asleson.
ABSENT: None.
Mayor Garrison called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. Mr. Asleson presented affi-
davits showing posting and publication of the notice of election and sample City ballot
for the November 2nd, 1982 election. He also presented official returns of the judges
of election for the Council to review.
MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Savanick, adopting Resolution No. 1982-
142 canvassing the returns of the November 29, 1982, State, County
and City General Elections and declaring that Marlis Overgard was
elected Mayor for a two-year term commencing January 3, 1983, and
that Barbara Savanick and Bill Holton were elected to the Council
for four-year terms commencing January 3, 1983. Ayes - 5 - Nays
