HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/20/1979CITY OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County, Minnesota September 20, 1979 Pursuant to proper notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apple Valley, Dakota County, Minnesota, was held at City Hall on September 20, 1979, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Garrison; Councilmembers Holton, Kelly, and Savanick; Clerk Asleson. ABSENT: None. Mayor Garrison called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the staff recommended budgets for 1980, including the use in 1980 of $115,112.00 of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. The City Administrator advised the City Council that, of the $115,112.00 of available Federal Revenue Sharing Funds, he was recommending that $150 be spent for publication costs of Revenue Sharing notices and that $50,000 and $64,962 be transferred to the golf course fund and the general fund, respectively, for operating purposes within those funds. The Mayor then declared the hearing open for public comment on. the use of Revenue Sharing Funds and other 1980 budgets. Only one member of the public was present and that person did not comment. The Mayor declared the hearing closed. MOTION: of Holton, seconded by Kelly, to adjourn, Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0. The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 o'clock p.m. The City Clerk then administered the oath of office for Councilmember to Marlis 0vergard who was appointed to the Council by the Mayor pursuant to M.S. Chapter 412.02(2). The City Council reviewed, until 11:45 p.m., details of the various 1980 budgets with the department heads who were present.
