Kelley Park is designated as a community park, not a neighborhood park. Important it continues to
be - "Core of the Apple." Dynamics of the park may change with the surrounding developments
being constructed.
Fortino Street will dead-end at Gallant Lane. Street area between Galaxie Avenue and Gallant Lane
will be terminated. Intentional means of slowing down the traffic on Fortino Street and limiting the
amount of pedestrian/traffic encounters were discussed.
Consultants were asked to create a sense of welcome, something that makes a difference, and a
central gathering place for all people of all ages for life. Park should relieve the tension of the
density in the area.
Schedule - public review will be accepted until late January,
concept design to be presented at the March 10, 2016 City Council Meeting.
On-line platform for public engagement will be set up at

SUBJECT: Quarry Ponds Addition - Fischer Gravel Site
City Planner Tom Lovelace will be on hand at the January 7, 2016, Parks and Recreation
Advisory Committee meeting to discuss this in more detail. In the meantime, this is the
information available:
Attached is a sketch plan for the Fischer gravel site located south of CSA1442. They will be
submitting to the City a preliminary plat for the single-family lots located east of the Regatta
Park. Part of the proposal would be the dedication of property located to the east and north of
the existing park for public park purposes. We indicated to them that the City is looking for park
property in this area for an outdoor hockey and skating rink. Also, the property shown on the
map may be a preferred location for Fire Station #4. And finally, some of the land shown is
proposed to be occupied by the North Creek Greenway.
