HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/18/1976CITY OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County~ Minnesota August 18, 1976 Minutes of the Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apple Valley, Dakota County, Minnesota, held August 18, 1976, pursuant to due call and notice thereof. PRESENT: Councilmen Branning, Hayes and Holton; Clerk Asleson. ABSENT: Mayor Largen and Councilman Garrison. Acting Mayor Holton called the meeting to order at 5:09 p.m. The City Clerk presented to the Council information related to parttime Police dispatchers being recommended for employment. MOTION: of Hayes, seconded by Branning to authorize the hiring, effective immediately, of Mary Krepela and Terence Rider as parttime police dispatchers at a salary of $3.32 per hour and to encourage Mr. Rider to relocate his residence to Apple Valley if possible. The City Clerk then reviewed with the Council two applications for trans- LICENSES & ient merchants licenses. PERMITS MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Hayes to authorize the issuance of a transient merchant license to Elizabeth Seely for the sale of farm produce to expire December 31, 1976, and to Boy Scout Troop #227 for the purpose of selling very small products with the license to expire August 18, 1981. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Hayes to adjourn. Ayes - 3 .- Nays - 0. The meeting was adjourned at 5:17 o'clock p.m. PARTTIME POLICE DISPATCHERS
