PRESENT: Mayor Largen; Councilmen Branning, Garrison, Goodoien and Pearsall; Clerk Asleson ABSENT: None The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Minutes MOTION: Of Branning, seconded by Pearsall, to approve the minutes of the meeting of April 18, 1973 as written. Ayes - 4 m Nays - 0; Goodoien abstaining. MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Branning, to approve the Development Contract for PUD with TransUnion and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign same. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0. Apple Valley East Development Contract discussed. MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Pearsall, to pass Resolution 1973-82 awarding the bids for the Project 73-36, East Water Main TransUnion and Apple Valley East Improvements to Erickson Bros., the low bidder, in the amount of $445,132.40, subject to receipt of a check from TransUnion, as recommended by Engineer. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0. MOTION: of Goodoien, seconded by Branning, to approve the Engineer's contract for design of the overpass, subject to changes in the memo and subject to the Attorney's approval, and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign same. Ayes - 4 - Nays - Pearsall. Motion carried. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Pearsall, to proceed with the condemnation of the properties at the intersection on the North side of Garden View Drive at County Road 42 for the purpose of acquiring easements for the frontage road relocation. Ayes - 4 - Nays - Goodoien. Motion carried. Letter from HRA re phase-out of program- received. Letter from Dakota County Administrator re County HRA program- to be held one week. Letter from Dr. Bristol re pond on school site- received. Councilman Garrison attended a meeting in Eagan re Dakota County Road Guide Plan and that discussion on Co. Rd. 38 access to State Zoo was held. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Branning, to direct the Engineer to prepare plans and specs for a front end loader. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0. Administrator received letter from State Dept. of Health stating Jim Heidemann passed his Class C, Water Supply Operator's Exam for which the Council commended him. Administrator reported that a Mr. Jerry Mayer had approached the Village regarding a Fire Power Demonstration. The cost for this would be $195.00 to the Village. This would be for both children and adults. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Goodoien, to pay the claims and bills; check #6457 thru #6494, in the amount of $123,794.93. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0.
