PRESENT: Mayor Largen; Councilmen Branning, Goodoien, Pearsall and Garrison (attended at 6:50 p.m.); Clerk Asleson ABSENT: None The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Goodoien, to pass Resolution 1973-85, pertaining to the Public Employee Bargaining Bill. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0; Garrison abstaining. Councilman Garrison attended during above discussion. Valley Commercial Park utilities and Valley Commercial Park street improvements- pre- liminary reports received from Village Engineeer and discussed. MOTION:of Pearsall, seconded by Branning, to pass Resolution 1973-85A, ordering a public hearing on utilities improvements for Valley Commercial Park 2nd Addition for June 6, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. Ayes - 5 - Nays - O. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Pearsall, to pass Resolution 1973-85B ordering public hearing on street improvements for Valley Commercial Park on June 67 1973 at 7:40 p.m. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0. MOTION:of Pearsall, seconded by Goodoien, to transfer title of the clinic property to the medical group represented by Dr. Tharp and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign same with the addition of a paragraph covering that the pro- perty shall be used for clinic purposes for 5 years. Ayes - 5 - Nays - O. The mall project was discussed and noted received. Public Hearing Garden View Drive North proposed sidewalk improvements. The Mayor called the hearing to order at 7:05 p.m. and read the affidavit of publication. The Mayor then discussed the background of the proposed project for the benefit of the residents, and turned the hearing over to the Village Engineer to describe what was being proposed. The hearing was turned over to the Council for questions and then to the residents attending. For detail of questions and answers see attachment. There being no further discussion the hearing was declared closed at 7:58 p.m. MOTION: of Goodoien, seconded by Branning, to approve issuance of a transient mer- chants license to the Lions Club for a 5 year period. Ayes - 5 -. Nays - O. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Goodoien, to approve the plans and specs for Belmont~ Galaxie, Greenleaf and Keller Parks. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0~ The Maygr commented on the Metro Council meeting on the Comprehensive Plan and the street plan. VILLAGE OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County, Minnesota Page 2 MOTION: of Goodoien, seconded by Pearsall, to pay the claims and bills; check #6556 thru #6603 in the amount of $66,702.73. Ayes 5 Nays -0 Continuation of Public Hearing Fischer Sand and Gravel- called to order at 8:10 p.m. Discussion continued as per attached. There being no further discussion the hearing was declared closed at 8:50 p.m. MOTION: of Goodoien, seconded by Branning, to adjourn. Unanimously carried. Adjourned at 9:50 p.m.
