Minutes of Public Hearings on Assessment Rolls held September 4, 1973. Residents
in attendance were Mrs. Neitzel, Mr; Brown, Mr, Tousignant, Mr. Scholtes and Miss
Bangerter.
PRESENT: Mayor Largen; Councilmen Branning and Goodoien, Clerk Asleson
ABSENT: Councilmen Garrison and Pearsall
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on Galaxie Avenue Street Improvements to
order at 7:05 p.m. The affidavits of publication for all hearings were noted. The
Clerk commented on the area proposed to be assessed. The Mayor opened the hearing
to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and there
being no questions, was declared closed at 7:08 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on Apple Valley East to order at 7:15 p.m.
The Clerk commented on the area proposed to be assessed. The hearing was opened
to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and there
being no further questions, was declared closed at 7:18 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on the East Water Trunk, Trans Union and
Apple Valley East to order at 7:32 p.m. The Clerk commented on the area proposed
to be assessed. The hearing was opened to the Council for questions. The Clerk
presented a letter from Orrin Thompson objecting to water lateral assessments along
Ellice Trail and it was noted received. The hearing was then opened to the public
and there being no questions, was declared closed at 7:47 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on the Lapaz Trunk Sewer to order at 7:47
p.m. The Clerk Commented on the area porposed to be assessed. The Mayor opened the
hearing to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and
there being no questions, was declared closed at 7:50 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on Whitney Drive Street Improvements to order
at 8:00 p.m. The Clerk commented on the area to be assessed. The Mayor opened the
hearing to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and
there being no questions, was declared closed at 8:04 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on Hayes Road Improvements to order at 8:15
p.m. The Clerk commented on the area proposed to be assessed. The Mayor opened the
hearing to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and
there being no questions, was declared closed at 8:17 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on Wildwood 1st Addition to order at 8:30
p.m. The Clerk commented on the area to be assessed. The Mayor opened the hearing
to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened to the public and there
being no questions, was declared closed at 8:34 p.m.
The Mayor called the assessment hearing on the Meadows 1st Addition to order at 8:45
p.m. The Clerk and Engineer commented on the area proposed to be assessed. The
Mayor opened the hearing to the Council for questions. The hearing was then opened
to the public and there being no questions, was declared closed at 8:48 p.m.

The Mayor called the assessment hearing on planning work done on property owned
by Mr. Eaton and Mr. Lawrence to order at 9:00 p.m. The Clerk commented on the
proposed assessments. The Mayor opened the hearing to the Council for questions.
The hearing was then opened to the public and there being no questions, was declared
closed at 9:04 p.m.
MOTION:of Goodoien, seconded by Branning, to pass Resolution 1973-157, confirming
assessment rolls presented at the foregoing public hearings and noting
Mr. Thompson's letter of objection. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0.
Meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
