P. aia~ ` f august 15, 1969 L 1d ` To: The Apple Valley Village Council n;~'~' Village of Apple Valley, Dakota County Rosemount, Minnesota We the undersigned being of full age and landowners adjoining Lehmann Road in Apple Val,ley~ request a regulation reducing the speed limit on Lehmann Road to 3d miles-per-hour with adequate posting of regulatory signs and enforcement of the proposed regulation for the fallowing reasons: (`1} Lehmann Road is a Village of Apple Valley street- not a county or state highway. (2) There is a dust hazard due to the voluube and speed of traffic from the commercial sales and auction barns on Galaxie Road and the gravel pit interests in the area. Lower speeds would reduce the amount of dust making it safe for Lehmann Road local traffic and children. • (3) The speed of the heavy trucks is keeping the street constantly rough. The effect of grading lasts not more than a day. Gravel trucks should be using Pilot Knob Road as an outlet in place of Lehmann Road. i ~ ~ ~ ,r; ~ 4 ~ a (3-L'~ <L_ f 1, VILLAGE OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County, Minnesota Minutes of bid opening - storm sewer - Scott Highlands 4th Addition, August 29, 1969 at 2 00 P.M.
