PRESENT: Councilmen Branning Pearsall and Hollenbeck; Clerk Asleson ABSENT: Mayor Largen; Councilman Garrison Acting Mayor Pearsall called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. Jerry Bell introduced Terry Langauder, the new community school director at Valley Jr. High. McNamara Gravel Contract. Administrator said he has had no response yet on the letter which he Sent to Mr. McNamara, although he had discussed the problem with him earlier. This is in regard to the routes traveled by the trucks. Fischer Gravel Operation status report- to be put on the next Planning Commission agenda~ and each one thereafter, until contract agreed upon. MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning to authorize the release of the bond amounts as outlined in letter of December 5, 1972 from Engineer. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. MOTION: of Hollenbeck seconded by Branning, to pass Ordinance #121, the Franchise Agreement with Metro Cable TV, with the changes as discussed. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. Gross payroll report for October 20 and December 1, 1972 received. October water and sewer report received. November public works report received. November Fire Marshalls report received. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Hollenbeck, to approve the change order to the West- .view building for $120.00 for rubber mop board~. Ayes - 3- Nays ~ 0. MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Hollenbeck, to approve the hiring of Mike Stanich, Ken Kaiser and Terry Munch for rink attendants, at a rate of $1.75 per hour. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. ' Letter received from Mayor of Farmington, thanking Fire Department for assistance at the fire in downtown Farmington Received. MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning to award the bids for water meters to Rockwell Meter Company, the low bidder, as recommended by the Administrator, Engineer and building inspector. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. The Park and Recreation Director reported that the new Westview Community building would be open this coming Saturday MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning, to approve the change order to Valley Electric Company in the amount of $100.00 for underground services, subject to review of the specs and to authorize the acting mayor to sign same. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. VILLAGE OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County Minnesota Page 2 MOTION: of Hollenbeck seconded by Branning to approve the change order no the Pennoek project for a change in the class of pipe, with a deduct of $600.00, and to authorize the acting Mayor no sign same. Ayes - 3 - Nays O. MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning to approve the change order no Austin Keller for the Greenleaf 4th projecn in the amounn of $11,470.40, for the four projects listed, and to authorize the cting Mayor to sign same. Ayes - 3 - Nays - O MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning, no pay the claims and bills; check ~5441 thru ~5540 in the amount of $243,093.30. Ayes - 3 - Nays - 0. MOTION: of Hollenbeck seconded by Branning to adjourn. Unanimously carried. Adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
