PRESENT: Mayor Largen; Councilmen Hollenbeck, Garrison & Pearsall; Clerk Asleson ABSENT: Councilman Branning The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Planning Commission minutes of December 6, 1972 received. Gross payroll report for December 15, 1972 received. Treasurer's Cash Report for November, 1972 received. DiscuSsiOn with Mr. John Campbell on the enforcement of Ord. #27 ~ it pertains to the' shoveling of sidewalks. Staff to look at the time limit as stated in the ordinance. MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Hollenbeck~ to pass Resolution 1972-194, as it refers to hhe Metro Council sewer availability charge. Ayes - 4 - Nays - O. MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Pearsall,to pass Ordinance #122, rezoning the Poppler Cardarelle property, East o'f Dodd Blvd. Ayes - 4 - Nays O. Decision on plat approval to be withheld, as requested by the Dakota County Highway Department, for 30 days. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Hollenbeck, no approve issuance of an excavation permit for Family Medical Clinic. Ayes - ~ - Nays - O. MOTION: Of Garrison, seconded by Hollenbeck, no adopt the Administrator's recommendation for the increase no the patrolmen's salaries, to be effective 1-1-73, as per the attached reporn. Ayes - 4 - Nays - O. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded Dy Garrison, to increase Bonnie Shea's salary $25.00 per month effective 12-1-72. Ayes - a - Nays - O. MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Garrison, to authorize the Administrator to obtain an additional bid on carpeting of the Police Department front office areas, and to have the carpet installed by the lowest of the three bidders. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0. Councilman Garrison would like Administrator to prepare a new resolution, requesting the Post Office Department to examine the feasility of a complete posh office fac- ility in Apple Valley and a review of the existing Apple Valley volume. Councilman Garrison also-.noted that it was Councilman Hollenbeck's last night on the Council, that he had enjoyed working with him and for his contributions as a parn of the first Village Council. Councilman Hollenbeck reported that Mr. Don Rippel had completed his appraisal of the golf course study which was discussed at this time. Council ordered the study be turned over to Mr. Jim Olsen to see if bonds would be salable. MoTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Hollenbeck, to accept the Public Works garage as complete. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0. VILLAGE OF APPLE VALLEY Dakota County Minnesota Page 2 MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Pearsall, to pay the claims and bills; check # 5582 thur # 5624 in the amounn of $216,173.26 and to add, on Friday~ December 29, the payment of $114,999.00 for the purchase of the liquor store. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0. MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Pearsall, to adjourn. Unanimously cacried. Adjourned an 9:10 D.m.
