Minutes of the special meeting of the Village Council, Village of Apple Valley, Dakota
County~ Minnesota held on February 16, 1971 at 6:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Largen; Councilmen Branning Garrison and Hollenbeck
ABSENT: Councilman Pearsall
Consideration of Agreement with Metro Sewer Board re: Acquisition of Interceptor:
The Council reviewed a proposed Acquisition Agreement in detail.
MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Garrison, that the "Resolution authorizing execution
of agreement between the Metropolitan Sewer Board and the Village of Apple
Valley, providing for Sewer Board acquisition of Interceptor Sewer" be passed.
All of them were in favor - opposed - none. Motion adopted.
$10,000 Liquor Revenue Bonds
The Village Administrator reported that Piper, Jaffrey & Hopwood has agreed to purchase
the additional bonds on the following basis:
6.60% Coupon 98.06 Discount, for a net interest cost of 6.823%.
MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning, that the resolution providing for sale of
$10,000 liquor revenue bonds to Piper, Jaffrey and Hopwood be adopted. Ail were
in favor - opposed - none. Motion carried.
MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Branning, that tuition reimbursement in the amount
of $45. be authorized for Richard Asleson. Ail voted in favor, none against.
Motion carried.
MOTION: of Branning, seconded by Hollenbeck, that the Village Administrator and Accountant
be authorized to attend the conference for municipal clerks and finance officers
in Minneapolis March llth and 12th. On vote, carried.
The Council reviewed the claim of George Allen Garage, Inc., for cost of reconditioning
police car.
MOTION: of Garrison, seconded by Hollenbeck, that the claim be allowed in the amount of
$266.35. On vote, carried.
