Minutes of the duly called special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of
Apple Valley on December 14 1971.
PRESENT: Mayor Largen Councilmen Pearsall Garrison and Hollenbeck.
ABSENT: Councilman Branning.
Mayor Largen called the meeting to order at 7:15 a.m. The Council reviewed the materials
previously distributed to them relative to re-adoption of the 1971 levy payable in 1972;
said re-adoption is necessary because of changes made in the tax law by the 1971 State
Legislature.
MOTION: of Hollenbeck, seconded by Pearsall to adopt Resolution No. 1971-109; a
resolution adopting the tax levy for 1971 payable in 1972. Ail members
voted in favor.
MOTION: of Pearsall, seconded by Hollenbeck to adopt Resolution No. 1971-110; a
resolution certifying to the County Auditor that the levy provided for in
Resolution No. 1971-109 is sufficient along with other funds to cover prin-
cipal and interest on bonded indebtedness in the year 1972. All members
voted in favor.
MOTION: of Garrison seconded by Hollenbeck to authorize the hiring of Robert Scott
Anderson on a parttime basis to assist with the skating program and other
Village matters as required at a rate of $2.50 per hour. All members voted
in favor.
MOTION: of Hollenbeck seconded by Pearsall to adjourn the meeting. All members
voted in favor.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 o'clock a.m.
