5A. Resident Traffic Concerns Near Diamond Path School
Mr. Anderson received a request to prohibit left-hand turns, except for school
buses, on west-bound 1441' Street near the intersection with Diamond Path
between the hours of 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm during school days. The current
stacking for parked vehicles on site is under 500 feet and the engineer
estimates at least 800 feet is necessary to keep the vehicles on site and off the
street. Mr. Anderson expressed concern that prohibiting left-turns during such
a period could create driver confusion. The group consensus was that
working with the school district to provide more parking on site would be a
preferable solution. Staff will also talk with Dakota County as Diamond Path
is a County roadway.

Public Works Concerns
Mr. Anderson reported a request for a bike lane on Diamond Path between

parking lane. He said he would review the options and bring the issue back
to a future meeting.

Ms. Dolan said the City was awarded a grant of 100 Cellslips. She said she
would investigate the cost of adding the City's logo to the slips.
Mr. Grawe said he would work with Park and Rec to look into a shirt order for
the group.
Ms. Dolan announced that April 191'is a regional Toward Zero Deaths
conference.
