Minutes of the special meeting of the City Council of Apple Valley, Dakota
County, Minnesota, held August 24th, 1995, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. at Apple
Valley City Hall.
PRESENT: Mayor Branning (attended at 6:49 p.m.); Councilmembers Goodwin, Erickson,
Humphrey, and Sterling.
ABSENT: None.
City staff members present wore: City Administrator Gretz, City Clerk Mueller,
City Attorney Sheldon and City Enginoer Gordon.
Acting Mayor Sterling called the moeting to ordor at 6:40 p.m. She announced
that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss road finance issues. Mr. Sheldon
advisod the Council that the moeting could be closed as allowed by attorney-
cliont privilege in pending litigation matters. The Council cannot discuss these
issues outsido of the meeting or it would lose the privilego.
MOTION:
of Erickson, seconded by Goodwin, to close the meeting to
discuss road finance issuos related to pending litigation.
Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.
CLOSE MEETING
The meeting was closed at 6:41 p.m. and the Council convened in the Conferonco
Room along with City Attorney Sholdon, City Administrator Gretz, City Clerk
Mueller, and City Engineer Gordon. The Council reconvened in open session at
7:04 p.m.
MOTION: of Humphrey, seconded by Goodwin, to adjourn. Ayes - 5 - Nays - 0.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 o'clock p,m.
