NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETINGS: Wednesday November 09, 2022 7:00 p.m. (Regular) Traffic Safety Advisory Committee City of Apple Valley July 13, 2022 7:00 p.m. Apple Valley Municipal Center Minutes 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Arthur Zimmerman. Members Present: Linda Dolan, Nick Francis, Charles Grawe, Dave McKenzie, Joe Shaw, Arthur Zimmerman Members Absent: Matt Saam Consultants/Alternates Present: Others Present: 2. Approval of Agenda MOTION: Ms. Dolan moved, second by Mr. McKenzie moved, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed 6-0. 3. Audience Items There were no audience items. 4. Approval of May 11, 2022 Minutes MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. McKenzie, to approve the Minutes of May 11, 2022. Motion passed 5-0 (Ms. Dolan abstained). 5. Regular ar Agenda Items There were no regular agenda items. 6A.Other Traffic Concerns Communicated to the City of Apple Valley Police Concerns Mr. Francis noted the State has a new distracted driver enforcement vehicle which it lends out to local jurisdictions. Apple Valley is scheduled to have use of the vehicle from the end of July to early August. Public Works Concerns There were no additional Public Works concerns. 6B.Educational Issues 1. Ms. Dolan suggested producing some short videos on various traffic safety issues including red light running, speeding, stop sign violations, and pedestrian safety. 2. Ms. Dolan said the Toward Zero Deaths conference will be October 12 and 13 in St. Cloud. An on-line version is also offered. The cost of the conference is $125 and scholarships are available. 7. Adjourn MOTION: Mr. McKenzie moved, second by Ms. Dolan, to adjourn. Motion passed 6-0. Meeting was adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
