Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Arthur Zimmerman Members Present: Todd Blomstrom, Charles Grawe, Michael Marben, Joe Shaw, Laura Turek, Arthur Zimmerman Members Absent: Linda Dolan Consultants/Alternates Present: Dave Bennett Others Present: John Bergman, Steven Schmidt, Alfred Wright, Sylvia Wright 2. Approval of Agenda Member introductions and election of officers were added to the agenda. MOTION: Mr. Blomstrom moved, second by Mr. Grawe, to approve the agenda as amended. Motion passed 5-0 (Ms. Turek abstained). 3. Approval of November 14, 2012 Minutes MOTION: Mr. Blomstrom moved, second by Mr. Grawe, to approve the Minutes of November 14, 2012 as presented. Motion passed 4-0 (Ms. Turek and Mr. Marben abstained). 4. Audience Items There were no audience items. 5. Request for Ordinance Amendment to Allow Golf Carts on Pathways and Streets Staff presented the issue. Mr. and Mrs. Wright and their attorney Mr. Schmidt spoke to the issue. The Committee asked questions of the Wrights and held discussion. MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. Marben, to table the issue until the March meeting and request the resident seek approval from Dakota County to cross County Road 46 before the next meeting. Motion passed 5-0 (Ms. Turek abstained). 6. Proposed All-Way Stop at Intersection of 153rd Street West and Garrett Avenue Staff presented the issue. The Committee held discussion. MOTION: Mr. Marben moved, second by Mr. Shaw, to table the issue until the March meeting and request that staff bring the plans for the pedestrian island design and lane designation. Motion passed 5-0 (Ms. Turek abstained). 7. Garden View Drive Speed and Traffic Update Staff presented the collected data. 8. Other Traffic Concerns Communicated to the City of Apple Valley Police Concerns Staff reported no other concerns. Public Works' Concerns Staff reported no other concerns. 9. Adjourn MOTION: Mr. Grawe moved, second by Mr. Marben, to adjourn. Motion passed 5- 0 (Ms. Turek abstained). Meeting was adjourned at 8:51 p.m.
