Further consideration of Birdsong Planned Development. A preliminary • plat for Birdsong has not been approved. A revision regarding density has to be submitted; therefore, Community Development Director Gretz advised Mr. Gurban that it would not be appropriate to act on this even though the parcel of land for park development is not affected. Mr. Gurban will monitor the situation for consideration at a later date. 5a. Other Items by Committee Members. Mr. Miller reported a light mounted to a pole at Hayes Field is burning continuously. Ms. Sterling alerted Mr. Gurban to the fact that her friend who lives at 140th St. Ct. West, Carrollwood Park, had noted a male from Lakeville, driving a blue truck, had been cutting wood on at least two occasions. This friend will be advised to telephone the police and get the license number. Councilmember Savanick requested Committee members to be thinking of the goals and objectives of the Park Committee. In February, the City Council will be determining goals for Committees. Chair- man Naegeli suggested that members be thinking of how participation in the area of recreation could be feasible. Mr. Gurban indicated that he was open to ideas and suggestions from the Park Committee regarding potential projects such as those fr Scouts. Ms. Gutenka.uf suggested the Gardenettes Garden Club eould use help in maintaining Redwood South. Mr. Asleson will be present at the December 7 meeting for an update on the Bond issue; Committee members may wish to have questions prepared for this presentation. Chairman Naegeli expressed concern over the trail that was to have been paved at Alimagnet Park for use by senior citizens and the handicapped. Zr. Gurban will research this and report his findings to the Committee. Concern by Ms. Savanick over Alimagnet's ma.in entrance not being chained indicated that the entire issue of Park Security needs to be researched with Alimagnet being a specific example. Mr. Gruban will report his findings after discussion with the Police Department. Chairman Naegeli suggested that snowmobile violators be reported to the Police and to the Apple Valley Trailblazers. Mr. Gurban will prepare a letter with Chairman Naegeli's signature regarding major snowmobile regulations. Regulations regarding easements were questioned. Ms. Sterling wondered if the rules on snowmobiles could be included in the winter District 196 Community Brochure.
