The minutes of the Jun.e 2� 1981 meeting were �pproved a� mailed.
Review Devel.o ment in Cedar �noils--Mr. Mark l�oore Re,�idex�t Re r�sentative:
Mr. Moore r�xpressed the coneern af re�s3,dents of Cedar Kuolls �or play�round
equipment �or ch3ldren agee 5-10. He s�ated �hat this �.s the hi.ghest de�sit�r
area in, Appl�e Va12e;� with 459 homes and 2-30� chiZdren. He comm�nted fatrr�rably
on what ie included at Cedar Kno11�--natuare trails, tennis courtsy tot 1ot--
but aondered what elc�e eould be done withc�u� takia�g out �he forest�. He would
like to see wood�n play equipment 3.n�ta�.l�d for the older eh3ldren,
Mr. Basse�t respor�dec3 to Mr. Moore�s caz�cerns and informed him of the play
equipment which is scheduled to be instal].ed at Cedar Kna].2s later� th3s �ummer.
Th3.s eq,uipment includ��: 1 Action Cexzter TV� 1 Whi�l� 1 �Iave �13.de, 1 Two-way
Cla,mber„ � Backhoe T13.g�ers. In the fi�ve-�+ear pa�rk p3an, Mr. Bassett expressed
the desire to increase the �ize of Cedar Kno].l�s Park by perhape pureha�ing
additional proper�y for a ba11 park.
Mr« Modre asked about the pcassibility of a hockey rink or $occer field.
Mr. Nae�eli replied that the hockey rinks are located where thcy car3 be used
by residentg of v�rious areas and that soccer demands 4pen space. He felt
Cedar Knol].s �ag Yrave more use from an open a�.r play area. A�r. Bass�tt pointed
out the hockey rink at G�.1.a�i�s� ths c7.asest to Cedar Kno11s. Ae felt add�.tional

Mr. Mc�dre expre�sed his thanks �o the com�ittee for the equ3pment that is tt�
be i�stalled a� Cedar Kna11� this summer� Zikewa.�e, the commi�t�e th€�x�c�d him
for hi� intere�t in the p�.rk program.

wishes to purchase. He feels that Mr„ Houstan is i�.te�ested i�
