She stated that after Joe Beli & Mike Bassett left that the Board felt they could work with the Committee and they didn't feel that any- thing was being pushed down their throat; they were more receptive. Dave Miller asked how much emphasis they placed on the complex. Bell stated that one of their big questions was space; he feels that Question 1 was discussed more than the complex. Carolyn Rodriguez suggested working with the people in the neighborhood in the develop- ment of the parks; let them know that they can be involved if the bond issue passes. Bob Naegeli pointed out that there is a Five Year Comprehensive Park Plan and he feels that they should have a positive attitude as to why it is layed out the way it is. Carolyn Rodriguez stated that she would like to see more people involved in the decision making process. Bob Naegeli stated that the plans have been formulated; the park committee should sell the plans that we have. Don't put up a plan and redo again; that could be utter chaos. Mike Bassett stated that if there is a good reason why things should be changed he feels they could be. Dave Miller stated that he fee]s that they should inform the residents that the concept plans show what is proposed; some items are subject to flexibility and if the bond issue passes and the Park Committee is making plans for development of a particular park inform people that they can meet with the Committee and give their input. We can't afford to worry about details now, but tell the people that there is some flexibility and that maybe something can be worked out if they have a problem with a concept plan. Carolyn Rodriguez>:stated that she feels that the neighborhoods would like to have a voice in the development. Bob Naegeli stated that at this point we are selling the bond issue; we have to be enthusiastic about the plans and have a positive attitude . about the plans that we have. 6. DISCUSS PRESS RELEASES Mike Bassett distributed a draft of the Council Table and a copy of the press release that will go to the papers this week. He stated that he will continue to write a informational press release each week for the newspaper. MOTION: of Milos, seconded by Rodriguez that the meeting be adjourned. .
