Chair�an Don Hillman called the meetinp t� Arder at 7:�O�.m.. Present were
�ave Fadrta, Don I-?illman, Karen Kni�ht �nd planners rapresentat9.ve �Idon Hugelen.
Absent �ere jon 5chutte and Nick Wagner. Jim ?3cVay arrived at 8.20.
iFr. Hillman announced that Boy Scout iroop 499 �ill make a n�ture trail in
Alimagnet Yark. Dave Tr�ax will use this as his Eagle Scout projeet.
The Park Committee zs very anpreaciative of the fine job the Ecology Club
did in cZeanin� up the pond in Redwood North Park. �'Yie �rea now looks much better
thanks to the�. '
A long discussion on procedures for hearings vi�s held. Next Thursday vre �ill
hol� hearin�s on the rest of the parks on the south side. The plans we �ill propose
are as followss

Grass, trees, top dressing, and any necessary landscapin� are a top priority.
��'e also have bugeted for a multi-use hard.surface court for basketball� volley-
ba11 and tetherball. It would be approxir�ately 5D' x 80' and could be used
for other games such as four�quare and shuffleboard also.
Duchess �
The tennis eourts in the concept plan will have to be chan�ec3 to a basketb€zl1
cour-t for now. T'he ball diar�ond :�ill stay �vhere it is novr. The g�a.rden club
project urill rema.in the same. The p�.rk vui11 also contain 3 horst�shoe sets,
2 picnic tab7.es� I drinkinb fount�.�.n, 4 park bencres, 1 bicycle rack, and 1
park sign as per eoncept �1ans. Playground equipment should �ZSe the thrae
module plan and would inc2ude a '?.ornado slide, barrel of fun, eagles cavo,
3 spring Aniraals, a candy rock r�outain, niountain climber, :aerry flyer �nd
the present s�in�s. Seed' fert�.lizer and landscaping are also included.
Greenins�
No changes from th�e concept plan are env�,sioned other tha.n the elim3.nation
of the outer uralkway. The plans for Greenin� includo a b�ll field, he.sketb�.11
court, drinking fountain, 3 p�.rlc benches, 2 tr�.sh ba.rrels, 1 bike rack, a
park sign and plap�;round equzpment. The piny area tvould include tv�o modules
andhave a jaok-in-the-bean atalk climber, 10' diaMeter �vhirl, Jack & Jiil climber,
3 spring animals� s�ace platform, bunker hill clir�ber and the s�vin�s that are
thare. The park would be seeded and fertalized and appropiate Iandscaping
planted.
Pennock
Grading a.nd tennis courts vrould be im�leraentod. There would be no buildin�
at this tim�. Tl�e ska.ting area �v�uld 'not ha.ve hockey boards. There ��ould
be a basketb�.11 court, w�tAr fountain, 4 park benclzes, 2 tra.sh ba_rrels, 1
bike stand, 1 park sign, decorative 13�htin�, landseaping and +�alkc�ays.
Playground equzpment wrould use 3 modules and includa a surfer sl�de, 3 sprino
animals, stvin�in�; gate, eagle swings, ea�Zes perch, buck-�-l�out, ea.glss nest,
e.nd saddle pon� slide.
Keller
P1ans for Kel�ler include 400' of fencin�, a playground �vithou-t rnodules and
several p�cnic tab2es. Develaping bo�t rental facilities at i�his time is not
feasible, Play�round equipment would include 3 spring animals� spaoe platform,
horse swin�s� bunker hi11 climber �nd a buck-a-bout.
