Minutes
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Arthur Zimmerman.
Members Present: Greg Dahlstrom, Linda Dolan, Charles Grawe, Dave
McKenzie, Matt Saam, Joe Shaw, Arthur Zimmerman
Members Absent:
Consultants/Alternates Present: Brandon Anderson, Evan Acosta

2. Approval of Agenda
MOTION: Ms. Dolan moved, second by Mr. McKenzie, to approve the
agenda as presented. Motion passed 7-0.
3. Audience Items
There were no audience items.
4. Approval of May 10, 2023 Minutes
MOTION: Mr. McKenzie moved, second by Mr. Shaw, to approve the
Minutes of May 10, 2023. Motion passed 5-0 (Ms. Dolan and Mr. Saam
abstained).
5A. Dodd Road Parkin Issues

Mr. Anderson said the City has received complaints about on-street parking
on the north side of Dodd Boulevard near Dunwood Trail. The roadway is
posted"no parking" on the south side and on much of the north side. The
group discussed motivations for people in the nearby townhomes to the north
to park on the street and the visibility problems created when large trucks and
semi-trailers are parked in this area.
MOTION: Ms. Dolan moved, second by Mr. Saam, to post the rider sign
stating the parking prohibition between 3:00 am to 6:00 am at this time.
Motion passed 7-0.
6A.Other Traffic Concerns Communicated to the City of Apple Valley
Police Concerns
Mr. Dahlstrom said the Police Department is increasing red light violation
enforcement.
Public Works Concerns
Mr. Anderson said the City received a request for all residential streets to have
speed limits set at 20 miles per hour. The City is still waiting for guidance
from the League of Minnesota Cities and the Minnesota Department of
Transportation on how to work with the new law regarding speed limits.
6B.Educational Issues
Ms. Dolan gave a brief update on the TZD meeting in July.

MOTION: Mr. Dahlstrom moved, second by Mr. Grawe, to adjourn. Motion
passed 7-0. Meeting was adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
