Minutes of the special meeting of the City Council of Apple Valley, Dakota County,
Minnesota, held November 6th, 1986, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at City Hall.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Goodwin, Holton, Humphrey and Savanick.
ABSENT: Mayor Branning.
City staff members present were: City Clerk Mueller, Personnel Director Boland, Parks
Recreation Director Gurban, and Police Chief Rivers.
Acting Mayor Holton called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.
The Clerk presented the official returns of the November 4, 1986, State, County and City
General Elections which the Council reviewed.
MOTION: of Humphrey, seconded by Goodwin, adopting Resolution No. RES. 1986-232
1986-232 canvassing the returns of the November 4~ 1986, CANVASS ELECTIO[
State, County and City General Elections and declaring Will RETURNS
Branning elected Mayor for a two-year term and Bill Holton
and Barbara Savanick elected Councilmembers for four-terms
all commencing January 2, 1987. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.
MOTION: of Savanick, seconded by Goodwin, to pay the claims and CLAIMS & BILLS
bills, checks numbered 31124, 51507 through 51588, 51597
through 51604, 51606 through 51614 and 51617 through 51659,
in the total amount of $5,201,533.12. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.
MOTION: of Savanick, seconded by Goodwin, to adjour. Ayes - 4 - Nays ~ 0.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 o'clock p.m.
