CITY OF APPLE VALLEY
URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MINUTES
JULY 20, 1978
PRESENT: Chairman George Hecker, Hank Myers, Clint Dixon, Bill Smith, Joan Goering
and Dorothy Regis.
ABSENT: Dick Edwards
Chairman Hecker called the meeting to order.
Mr. Kelley was not present because of a hearing that he had to attend at the Metro-
politan Council . It vaas reported that Rick will distribute information at the
August 17, 1978 meeting regarding an Environmental Protection Ordinance.
The Committee reviewed the second draft of the "Proposed Ordinance Amendments"
for the Zoning Ordinance regarding "Group Homes".
MOTION: of Smith, seconded by Regis to recommend that the attached document (labeled
Second draft) be incorporated in the revisions of the Zoning Ordinance
which is a part of the Update of the Comprehensive Plan. Yes - 6 - No - 0.
The information will be forwarded to John Voss, Planning Consultant for the Update
of the Comprehensive Plan, to be incorporated in the Zoning Ordinance. If there
are any questions regarding the proposed amendments to the ordinance, the Urban
Affairs Committee members would be available to answer them.
The Committee discussed upcoming projects.
